TimeMachine on Ventura keeps losing settings
I have nothing wrong with my backup disks. One is a USB external and the other is a RAID6 system. I have been backing up my Macs for years using this combination of disks. It has always worked flawlessly - two backups to two different disks. But now with Ventura....TimeMachine will lose the disk settings until a reboot, only to lose them again hours later. When there are no disks listed you can Add them back and then you will be prompted if you want to use the existing backup or not. Yes, I do. That solves part of the problem but I do want the backups to run hourly and not have to check them hourly if they ran. The USB drive is a Guid partition with APFS. The RAID disk is using SMB (OS X). Again, these have worked flawlessly on Monterey and previous.
In addition, you cannot change the setting from manually triggered to hourly, it will just keep going back to manually triggered. I want to keep this MacBook Pro powered on (last version of the Intel MacBook pro, 16 inch 2019) for weeks at a time and not reboot it 8 times a day. I am running MacOS 13.01.
I really find it very hard to believe that Ventura was released with this bug? And it's not the only one but I consider this one a serious one and it's the one that really "bugs me". If I did not have so many projects due right now. I would love to go back to using Monterey.
