Universal Control bug in 16.1

After updating to 16.1 UC works fine for a while then stops responding to selections made from my MBPro to iPadPro 12.9. It requires a restart of the iPad to get working again but then will fail in the same way after a while.

Cursor selections from MBPro or directly on the iPad magic KB or directly on the screen give a "Select All" "A" dialogue box, no other command is possible.

In addition when the iPad restarts it has a delay before selecting my WiFi, takes up to 1 minute.

Feels like a couple of bugs, any ideas?
