Universal control not working iPadOS 16.1

I just downloaded iPasOs 16.1. Universal control between my iMac and iPadPro no longer works. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix?

Hi there wmacnaughton,

If Universal Control is no longer working after updating your iPad, these recommendations from Universal Control: Use a single keyboard and mouse between Mac and iPad may resolve this issue:

If you need help
When arranging your displays, if you don't see a display, try these solutions:

• If using macOS Ventura or later, click the add button (+) in the upper-right corner of the Displays settings window, the choose your iPad or other Mac from the menu.
• If using macOS Monterey, click the Add Display button the lower-left corner of the Displays settings window, then choose your iPad or other Mac from the menu.
• Make sure that each device meets the Universal Control system requirements and is using the latest software updates for Mac and software updates for iPad.
• Make sure that your devices are near each other—ideally within 1 meter (3 feet).
• Put your devices to sleep, then wake them up.
• Turn off Universal Control on each device, then restart each device and turn Universal Control back on.

If this continues after looking over that, please provide more details on what happens when you try to use Universal Control and if you get an error message of some kind so that we can assist further.

Cheers!
