I wanted to crop a vertical video from a horizontal video. I used App Preview in iMovie which worked perfectly. But when I export the video the resolution is 608 * 1080. Is it possible to export the video on as 1080 * 1920?

Not that familiar with the App Preview feature. Have used it a little bit.
Try creating a new App Preview project. Then insert into the timeline, as the very first clip added, a video clip that is 1080 x 1920. That should set the project resolution at 1080 x 1920. You can delete it later and the project resolution will remain the same.. Then when you export your vertical video it should be 1080 x 1920. At least, I think that that is what would happen. Give it a try and see.
