Why iPhone backup size is huge on my macbook pro and cannot restore my iPhone?

Hi, I have iphone 13 pro max 256GB. I backed the device up on my MacBook Pro because of a replacement. I tried to restore the backup on the new device which is the exact same phone however I got "not enough space" error during the restore process. When I checked the size of backup folder on the Finder of my MacBook Pro, it is around 360GB. Why is the backup size is so huge? and why I cannot restore a backup of an exact same device?

Hi Jeff_W.,

I already did that. I shared with a technical supporter but it didn't help. They told me iphone could store optimized data on the phone but the backed up data is not optimized. Hence, the size of it is much bigger. When I backed up my phone, 170GB out of 256GB was used and the backup size is 360GB. That doesn't make sense. I checked the list of old backups but there is only one backup I can see on the list. So, some thing strange happened
