iPhone wont connect to facetime on my macbook. It's pretty frustrating. I'm on ventura and iOS 16

Im trying to get continuity to work between my macbook pro and my iPhone for facetime. When I go into the options of facetime on my macbook "Iphone camera" is listed but it freeze facetime and nothing happens. I just want this to work. Any help would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.0
