Continuity camera is connected but screen is black

After I turn on Facetime on Mac the app connects to my phone but neither video nor audio works.

I've tried everything. Please help.

Facetime & Continuity Camera I get an error message when trying to use my phone as a FaceTime camera: FaceTime has not received any video from the connected camera. Restarting your computer may fix this issue. Restarting did not fix it, and I can find no answers on the "Community". How about if Apple answers questions about their hardware/software? That would be cool.
