"Go to current song" doesn't go to the song in Music?

Hi, I was living under a rock for many years and was still using iTunes.

I've recently updated to Ventura, and now am using Music instead of iTunes.

In iTunes, if you did COMMAND+L, it would take you to the song you were currently playing. It would open the playlist, and then open the album you were listening to, regardless of the View you were in (Albums, Artists, Genres, etc.)

In Music, the same command takes me only to the playlist, and doesn't not actually "go to the current song", meaning I still have to look for it in the playlist.

What gives?

Is this just the way it is?

OK, I put a playlist in Album view and I see what you mean.

You can see album artwork in Songs view. View > Show View Options and enable "show artwork" and "always show."
