Scroll button no longer working on USB-connected mouse. Updated to Ventura 13.0 yesterday.
I just upgraded my iMac to Ventura 13.0 and the scroll wheel on my UBS-connected mouse has stopped working completely. Suggestions?

It's a white Apple mouse A1152 that was working just fine before I updated to Ventura yesterday. I have it plugged in to an adapter for USB devices (that's also being used for my Time Machine backup) and then the adapter into my new iMac.
That doesn't need a driver. However, I'm somewhat surprised you have one that still works. You can try turning it upside down and rolling the ball on a mouse pad or equivalent. Sometimes its just dirt/dust that has collected. Sometimes.
No, unfortunately. When I bought my new iMac, I included a trackpad and not a magic mouse. I've discovered I like having a mouse so I connected my old USB mouse and was pleased to learn it worked just fine. Since updating to Ventura, it's not. So, anyway, I can scroll down on the trackpad and scroll up with the mouse or the trackpad. The mouse also works fine for clicking on links, that sort of thing. It just won't scroll down anymore....
I still have two of those mice somewhere. Neither worked anymore. Upgrading had nothing to do with it failing. Just a coincidence.
FWIW, you can get any 3-button USB mouse to replace it. Inexpensive mice work fine. I bought a Belkin mouse for about $6.
If the mouse uses a driver you may need an updated version.
Interesting. I didn't know a mouse needed an updated driver. That said, I've now discovered that the scroll button will work to scroll up but not to scroll down...
Most don't. You didn't state which mouse you had so was a just in case suggestion.
Thanks so much for your kind help!
You're welcome. Get it to work?
