Updated to Ventura, and Safari is now moving slow as molasses
I'm actually having a host of minor problems that cropped up immediately after updating to Ventura. However, the biggest one is Safari.
I updated to Ventura about 48 hours ago(?), and right after the update Safari began taking forever to load web pages. And it's still doing it.
It even takes a minute or two to initially load Safari when I first start my computer. I start the computer and open Safari, it says that Safari can't connect to the internet. After a while it finally starts connecting.
Also, I can't download even small PDF files from the internet. Download speeds are at anywhere from 5 kb/sec to 60 kb/sec. So I can't download Firefox to see if that might work better; when I try, the download times out after a couple minutes.
And it takes multiple tries to even log onto my favorite MMORPG. I haven't even tried playing it.
Another irritating problem: When I first start my computer, it routinely jams midway through loading: The loading bar underneath the apple stops halfway. I force quit, turn the computer on again, and it loads okay the second time and starts normally.
Meantime, iCloud seems to be working fine. In fact, better than previously. I'm happy about that at least. Also, Pages seems to be working fine.
OTOH, Scanmarker barely works now. And since I can't download anything from the web (Safari is too slow), I can't update the software for that.
All of this is brand new since updating to Ventura about 48 hours ago. Everything worked fine up until Monday night.
I have a Mac Mini purchased Aug 2021. Processor is 3.2GHz (turbo to 4.6 GHz) Intel Core i7 6-Core Processor
Anyone else registering problems on this level?
Mac mini, macOS 11.5
