Default Mode to Contact under Favorites in iPhone 11 Telephone App

I want to call my daughter from that Favorites list by default. However, under her name in her contact, it says "Messages," and tapping it brings up her messages in the Messaging app.

For my wife, it works as I want. Under her name, it says "mobile" and tapping it brings up the phone app calling her.

I tried editing her contacts from the phone app and the contacts app, but not finding any way to set the default contact mode.

We recommend that you try the steps in the following link since you’re having problems with adding your daughter's phone number to your favorites list via the Phone app: Use Contacts from the Phone app on iPhone.

In order to perform the troubleshooting actions we recommended via the article above, please read through and complete the steps in the section titled "Add a Favorite."

You can add VIP contacts to your Favorites list for quick dialing.

Select a contact, scroll down, then tap Add to Favorites.

Calls from these contacts bypass Do Not Disturb (see Turn on or schedule a Focus on iPhone).

The reason why we're recommending the steps above is because they will show you how to add your daughter's phone number to your favorites list via the Phone app.
