No Password Provided message when adding another email account to iPhone

I am trying to add my work email to my iPhone. It is not under any of the listed email providers ( Yahoo, Google, AT&T, etc). So I selected "Other". Then clicked "Add Mail Account". I correctly entered name, email, password, etc. Then INCOMING MAIL SERVER entered: Host name: secure.emailsrvr.com. Same for outgoing mail server..But I keep getting the message " No Password Provided. Please go to settings and enter a password". I couldn't find an answer on any of the posts here. I am adding a second email account ( not having trouble with existing email). And again, it is not with any of the listed email providers such as Google, Yahoo etc. So the "AOL generated app password" fix would not apply here.

Any Help would be appreciated. I am going out of town and need to access my work email.

I’ll take a guess based on what you’ve told us.

Both the incoming mail server and outgoing mail server require a password. My guess is you set the incoming but not the outgoing.

Check Settings > Mail > Accounts > [the relevant account] > Account > SMTP > [whatever appears under “Primary Server”].

If there is no password shown, enter it and that should solve your issue.
