battery swells and damages screen

MacBook 15, 2018 after 8 months of usage i noticed my MacBook Pro will no close properly.

then i noticed a bulk on the bottom, battery has swelled.

Has the macbook pro swollen battery issue been fixed yet? I bought my last macbook pro in August 2017 and just now the battery has begun to swell. Apple would repair it for $200 but they found a problem with the logic board, which will cost close to $600 to repair. I said no. I am wondering about quality control over at Apple to be having these kinds of problems. The laptop has sat on my desk for its life. The "genuis" insinuated that I somehow did this, knowing full and well that it's Apple's problem. Anyway, before buying another one, I'd like to know if this problem still exists. Does it? Or do I dare take my chances with the new Macbook Air M1?

Battery Swelling Hi guys. I recently purchased the Macbook Pro 16 inch, 2019 model(Just over a month old). I have observed the back panel creaks and there is a noticeable gap between the back panel and body in the front of the device. The trackpad is sunk in one corner and has risen in the other corner. The lid when shut has some uneven gaps on either side. There is probably a slight bend in the body too. Is it because of the battery swelling? Because when I google the issue this is what is the result that I get which is 'Battery is Swelling. Can someone pls help me out.
