iPhone SE not recognized in iTunes

Why does iTunes not recognize my iPhone SE on my PC? It does recognize my iPad so the connections and the USB cord are working. I used to have an iPhone 6 and it connected no problem. But since I’ve had the SE it won’t connect. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hi, tt2,

I tried to update the driver as indicated in the illustrations. But it still does not recognize my iPhone SE. I get the error code 0xE80000A. iTunes does connect with my iPad and I’m using the same USB cord for my iPhone, so I don’t think it’s a bad cord or fluff in the port.

I don’t really want to uninstall/reinstall iTunes because I don’t want to have a problem with my iPad as well.

Not sure what else I can do?

Thanks.

Yes, I was able to do everything that was in the instructions. And then I unplugged it, and plugged it back in, clicked trust this computer and then I got the error again. It sure is frustrating, especially since the iPad works and the iPhone doesn’t. The SE is the second version, and it’s about a year and a half old. The iPad mini 4 is about 2yrs old.

Yes, I’m still running Windows 7 and both my iPad and IPhone are still using iOS15.7. Again, the iPad connects to iTunes just not the iPhone. I think trying to do the free update to Windows 10 is a little too confusing for me…I don’t have an external hard drive to back up files and I don’t know what Bios files are, etc. I just don’t feel comfortable updating it and having it go wrong and then my entire computer doesn’t work.

I think I bought my computer in 2011, so it’s pretty old…and at this point, I’m thinking of buying a new and inexpensive computer that is running Windows 10 or 11. I would use it just for email, Internet, iTunes, occasional word files, etc. do you have any recommendations?

Thanks.
