Photos in iMessage Show as a File

When anyone sends a photo through messages, it does not show up as a photo, but as a file name instead. These files also cannot be opened and happen across all chats with everyone.

It has been happening for the last week and a bit.

Probably you are getting these from non-iPhone users or iPhone users who have not activated iMessage.
