I found someone’s airpod/case
Can you contact someone from their AirPods? Are AirPods connected to an Apple account that Apple or myself can reach out to the account holder to inform them someone found their missing AirPods?

That's a fantastic question! Apple takes privacy and security of their users contact details and information very seriously. There isn't a way to locate contact details associated to an individuals product. Since you've found AirPods, you'll want to contact local enforcement to let them know you've found a missing device. It's possible the owner may have filed a report and this can help them locate their missing device.
