iwatch fully charged beep

I have a series 2 watch and when on the charger it keeps restarting itself and the annoying thing is that when done restarting it seems to realize that it is fully charged and gives a fully charged notification ding, all night long. How do i stop the restarts or battery charged notification. I have tried repairing, I am running all the latest software updates, I have tried different chargers, I have looked for the sleep charging to turn off battery notifications but series 2 must not have the sleep battery function. help

Hello helpappleiwatchseries2,

Ensuring your Apple Watch remains powered on is important. If you haven't already, you'll want to complete the steps listed below. You can also find these steps outlined in the following article. While your Apple Watch is charging to an extent and powering on, the steps are still relevant for resolving this issue.

  • "Make sure that you're using the Apple Magnetic Charging Cable or USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable that came with your Apple Watch.
  • Make sure that you plug the Apple Magnetic Charging Cable or USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable all the way into the USB Power Adapter, then make sure that you plug the adapter all the way into a power outlet.
  • If you use a third-party charging stand, use the charging cable that shipped in the box with your Apple Watch.
  • Completely remove any plastic wrap from both sides of the charger.
  • Make sure that the back of your Apple Watch and the magnetic charger are clean.
  • Reposition the back of your Apple Watch on the charger. When the charger's magnets align correctly with your Apple Watch, a green or yellow lightning bolt green lightning bolt should appear on the watch face.*
  • Try a different Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable or USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable, and a different USB Power Adapter. If your Apple Watch is out of power, you might need to wait a few minutes for the lightning bolt green lightning bolt to appear after you start charging your device.
  • If your Apple Watch still won't charge, force it to restart. Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, or until the Apple logo appears."

If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on

That article also references cleaning your Apple Watch and charging accessories. If you need to reference the steps for cleaning your Apple Watch, those are listed below and can be found in the following article. The article also provides additional cleaning tips as well.

  1. "Turn off your Apple Watch and remove it from the charger.
  2. If you have a leather band, remove it from your Apple Watch.
  3. Wipe your Apple Watch clean with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. If your Apple Watch has substances or debris visible in places such as the speaker ports, you can hold your Apple Watch under lightly running, warm, fresh water until it's clean. Soaps and other cleaning products shouldn’t be used.
  4. Dry your Apple Watch with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth, including the surface of the back crystal."
