iPhone 13 running iOS 16 won't connect with USB to HDMI cable

Connected my iPhone 13 to HDMI and adapter, but pop up states: "Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes." But our other phones, iPhone 11 & iPhone 12 play just fine. Nothing else will show on the TV, just blank. My phone is iOS 16.0

Hi BGologergen,

We can see that you're having some trouble connection the HDMI cable to your iPhone. We suggest that you make sure you're running the latest iOS available on your iPhone which can be checked in Settings > General > Software Update: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. Choose the software update that you want to install. You can choose to stay on iOS or iPadOS 15 and still get important security updates. Or you can choose the option to upgrade to iOS or iPadOS 16.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

It's understood that your other devices work well with this cable, however you may need to connect with the manufacturer to see if it's also compatible with your iPhone 13, if you're still getting the same message.

Cheers.
