Battery Widget on Lock Screen Not Showing iPhone Status

So, I have an iPhone 14 Pro and I am trying to have my lock screen show my battery level for the iPhone both on "always on" mode and when I lift it up before logging on. Unfortunately, I cannot get it to show the iPhone using the batteries widget. Instead, it will usually show my Apple Watch, or if I open the lid and add it to the widget, my Beats Fit Pro earbuds (which goes away eventually). When trying to configure (add/delete) the batteries widget, it only shows my Apple Watch as an option and not the iPhone itself. I do not need the watch battery status, as this is easily viewed when I look at my watch. What am I missing here?

Add the watch battery widget to your screen then clock on it. In the pop up unselect automatic and it will change to the iPhone's battery.

I have the same problem, but my watch isn’t an apple watch, but is a fitness tracker (Amazfit Band 5 Activity Fitness Tracker). It’s battery is showing up instead of the phones.

is there a way to fix this?

Also, I didn’t understand the clock part of this last post "Add the watch battery widget to your screen then clock on it.". What does this mean?
