Battery Health & Performance

Your battery health is fine and is undergoing normal usage. iPhone batteries, like all rechargeable batteries, are consumable components that become less effective as they age. You should change out the battery once your Battery Health reaches below 80% which will take over 2 years to reach under normal usage. Until then enjoy your iPhone.

Managing the Battery Health:

All is fine. Battery Health can increase by a few percent. It's happened to me a few times. All the percentage is, is a questimation on the iPhone's part.

View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: [the percentage]
  5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.
