Why is Apple Music radio so bad?

I've seen many people say this before, but Apple Music's radio is notoriously bad at recommending songs, and instead recommend songs that are "top 40". For example I created a station for the song Be There For You by CARRTOONS and after a few skips it recommended First Class by Jack Harlow. These two songs are very different and I don't see how they could be within the same radio station; it's like hearing a drake song on a country music radio station. Spotify on the other hand is extremely successful at choosing songs that will fit the song you created the station around. Is there any way to fix Apple Music's algorithm to recommend better songs?
