From what we understand, you have been unable to delete a conversation from a certain contact. In a situation like this, we would first suggest restarting your device before attempting to remove the conversation again.
If you continue to notice an issue and you have iOS 16 installed, please open the Recently Deleted folder in the Messages app. From here, please clear all of the messages that you would like to permanently delete. Once Recently Deleted has been cleared, attempt to remove this conversation again.
