Music Playing Indicator

I recently updated my apple watch to the new watchOS. Before, whenever I would exit the “Now Playing” app with music playing, the watchface would have a sort of white dot on the top of the screen to indicate there was music playing. It was always quite useful to get back to the “Now Playing” app or Spotify by just tapping the indicator. But with this new OS, it seems that indicator doesn’t exist anymore. Is there anyway to get it back?

Hi williamtseng,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! There's a few options for easily accessing Now Playing form your Apple Watch. Find them below from the article Use Now Playing on Apple Watch:

You can open Now Playing in the following ways:
- Open the Now Playing app  on your Apple Watch.
- Press the side button, then tap Now Playing in the Dock.
- Tap the Now Playing button if you’ve added it to the watch face.

This will allow you to quickly get back to playing your music. To customize a watch face to have the Now Playing icon, check out Change the watch face on your Apple Watch.

If it's not working as expected, we suggest restarting your devices and ensuring the software is running the latest versions available. Although simple, these steps can resolve many issues.

Hope that helps!
