I used to scan with HP Tango X - using my phone buil-in camera from the HP Smart App.
since switching to an IPhone 14pro with IOS16, I just can’t do it anymore.
The HP Smart app can’t seem to connect to the camera (screen stays black), despite having authorisation to connect to the camera.
already tried re-installing the HP Smart app… nothing works

The developer is responsible for keeping their app up to date so it works with newer versions of iOS.
They are given access to beta versions of iOS for this purpose.
You have already tried the thing we can suggest, remove and reinstall the app.
only other thing that I can think of, turn your phone off and on.
Unfortunately HP support doesn’t seem to recognise the serial number of the printer I bought from the Apple Store … and I can’t submit a question without this …
it’s actually the first thing I tried but can’t find a way to do so..
I have the HP Smart app and it also does not seem to connect to the camera (even though it says it is). I have logged out, turned off the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and nothing. (Oddly, my husband - with the same setup - is having no problems at all.)
Do we just wait and hope they have an update sometime?
