How do I merge my old Apple ID content with my new Apple ID, without losing things?

You cannot merge accounts. You can share content between accounts using family sharing.

Merge two Apple Accounts? I changed my email address last year. I had my Apple account established originally using my old email. After setting up my new email address I apparently set up a new Apple account using the new email. I would like to merge the two Apple accounts and have only one, using only my new email address. I’m told I can’t do that, but that I can only delete one of the accounts and put the remaining account under my new email address . I’m concerned that deleting one account may lose whatever is backed up on the cloud under the deleted account.
