Caller ID says Maybe

Hi,

Please, when I receive a call, from where Apple or my iPhone fetch the information to display '' Maybe'' with a name next to a phone number that I dont have in my contact list? Thank you!

If it is a phone call and you do not have the person in your Contacts the Caller ID display comes from the other persons phone/cell service provider. Facebook, emails, LinkedIn, Apple ID, Instagram, TikTok, etc. are not involved. If the caller is using a paid service for spoofing the display can be anything.

it was not previously on my contact list, what logic is used to determine who is calling me? From where it gets the information? I need the list of the possibilities please. I want to make sure there is not privacy breech.

That may be a spoof Caller ID display by the person calling you. It is not a privacy breach.

You may have had the caller name on the contact list previously and now it no longer exists in the Contacts App. Please add it to the Contacts app and then the "Maybe" will not appear.

From where it made its guess?

does it goes into my emails, facebook, linked in? The caller Apple ID?

please answer my questions.
