apple watch resting heart rate

The data on resting heart rate changes retroactively. For example. My resting heart rate on Sept 18 was 47. I mean as of Sept 19, 47 was logged for Sept 18. On Sept 20 the resting heart rate logged for Sept 18 went from 47 to 70. What is going on? How can data logged for a particular day change days later?

Night time resting energy data not always recorded while not wearing apple watch I've been trying to track down why in LoseIt! the resting energy reported by my apple watch is sometimes significantly lower than expected. I discovered tonight looking through that data that most nights a baseline resting energy is recorded at night but occasionally it tracks nothing. To clarify, I do not wear my apple watch at night (It's painful since I sleep with my hands under my pillow, wish I could change it but here we are.) It gets charged overnight right next to my iPhone. I can't find anything meaningfully different with my routine that might cause this.
