Please tell us you did NOT submerge your iPhone in water? iPhone is not Waterproof and you have likely damaged your iPhone. Apple will not provide service to an iPhone which has water damage and water damage is often irreversible.

iPhone is splash and dust resistant.

To prevent liquid damage, avoid these:

  • Swimming or bathing with your iPhone
  • Exposing your iPhone to pressurized water or high velocity water, such as when showering, water skiing, wake boarding, surfing, jet skiing, and so on
  • Using your iPhone in a sauna or steam room
  • Intentionally submerging your iPhone in water
  • Operating your iPhone outside the suggested temperature ranges or in extremely humid conditions
  • Dropping your iPhone or subjecting it to other impacts
  • Disassembling your iPhone, including removing screws

There is no warranty for a water damaged phone. NONE.

On a final note: I would encourage you to backup your iPhone while you still can. If the phone dies, which is possible and you don't have a backup, your data will be gone.
