Cannot add Apple Card to wallet after merging accounts
Me and my wife separately applied for the Apple Card and were both approved. After accepting we later decided to merge Apple Card accounts to have a combined limit. Since that point my card said account closed and I cannot add the new merged card. She is personally having no problems at all and has our agreed upon credit limit etc. I have tried everything even contacting Apple Card Support. They don't know what to do and said they are escalating the issue with a ticket but can't give me a timeframe of when I will be contacted back. Online I see that a multitude of people are all having the same problem and nobody seems to have a solution. I can see the card listed as a previous card in Apple Wallet but I cannot add it it just says "Unknown Error". If I go to the apple card website it shows with the correct balance and merged limit but I cannot access the card in any way. I never received a physical card and I had ordered one prior to merging accounts but the rep said that that card was for the original account which was closed when we merged so that order would be cancelled. Any and all help would be appreciated as I cannot do anything right now.
I've force restarted the phone signed in and out of icloud done basically everything you can think of. I will say on my wife's phone it says she has a pending invitation from me but you cannot open it when it's clicked on. it just spins and acts like it loaded but stays on the same page.
No idea why it's saying XS Max, I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro Max and my wife has an iPhone 13 Pro both updated to iOS 16
