Why do I have storage but it says I don’t.

I have enough storage for iOS 16 yet it won’t let me download it. If anyone else has this problem let me know.

Hi Yankeydoodle,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We'd like to help you get this sorted out so that you can update the iOS on your iPhone. The first thing you'll want to check is that there's enough device storage and that you're not looking at available iCloud Storage. If you've verified this to be correct, then you may want to use a computer to update. Check this out: If your iPhone or iPad won't update - Apple Support

If there isn't enough space to download and install an update, the software on your device will try to make space. It will remove only app data that it can download again and doesn't remove or relocate any of your data. If your device still doesn't have enough space, you can use your computer to update your device.
If you can't connect your device to your computer, you can make room for the update by removing content and apps on your device that you don't use. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage.
Learn more about the space your apps and content use.

If the issue is with device storage, you can see how to manage it here: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Cheers.
