I recently updated to iOS 16 on my generation 2 iPhone SE. I still have the dots at the bottom of the home screen, not the Search button, and there is no setting in Settings => Home Screen to enable or disable it.
Anyone else having this problem?

There is a setting available that may to access Search on the Home Screen of your iPhone. Please go to Settings > Home Screen. Underneath "Search" please make sure that "Show on Home Screen" is toggled on. From there, go back to the Home Screen and see if "Search" is available to select.

That setting does not appear in my Home Screen Settings!
I only have NEWLY DOWNLOADED APPS and NOTIFICATION BADGES settings choices in Home Screen.
