on ipad on ios 16 when i click on the 2 aa there no option about search bar

I’m brand new to iOS so please bear with me I just purchased a new iPad 9th gen and it’s currently running iOS 16.6 and in safari I want the search bar at bottom like it was on iOS 15 but when I purchased the iPad it updated right off to iOS 16 and now when I go in safari and click on the 2 aa there no option saying move search bar to top or bottom it’s reader mode hide toolbar turn off content blockers but no search bar reference and no single tab option in settings it’s separate tab or compact tab can someone please help me move search bar to bottom of safari on iOS 16 or. At least tell me why when I click on 2 aa there’s nothing saying anything about moving search bar thank u

Unlike iPhone, Safari for iPad fundamentally does not support repositioning of the search/tab-bar to the bottom of the screen.


Available options are Separate Tab Bar or Compact Tab Bar at the top of the Safari Window - which can be selected from settings:

Settings > Safari > [Tabs]
