Apple TV remote app not functioning normally post iOS 16 update
I’ve been using the Apple TV remote app on all of my iPhone devices with no issues prior to updating my iPhone to iOS 16.
The issue is, the remote app works fine initially and then whilst I’m watching whatever I’m watching, the phone goes into the normal display off mode “sleep mode”, then once it’s in sleep mode if I pickup the phone once again and want to use the remote app from the lock screen, the Apple TV will not respond to any of my inputs via the remote app, unless I swipe up to send the remote app to the background, then the normal lockscreen appears, once facial recognition is detected or the passcode is entered, only then when I reopen the remote app is when responding occurs normally and the Apple TV function normally via the remote app.
I guess it’s something associated with security that needs to by addressed.
I wish that this bug gets resolved the soonest, as it’s really frustrating me and rending my Apple experience, troublesome.
