WatchOS 9 - sleep stages tracking is not working

I have the WatchOS 9 installed, as well as iOS 16. I was in sleep focus and wearing my series 7 watch all night. My sleep stages were not tracked. Why?

I had to restart my watch to get sleep stages to show up. Also check that you toggled on Settings > Sleep > Sleep Tracking.

Then, at night either turn on the Sleep Focus in Control Center when you go to bed or set up a sleep schedule in the Sleep app to automatically turn on the sleep focus.

Hey Ballen23,

Let's try the following steps to see if you can get more accurate results with your Apple Watch:

1. Turn on Charging Reminders. On your iPhone, open the Watch app and tap the My Watch tab, then tap Sleep. Tap Charging Reminders to turn on a reminder on your Apple Watch to charge before your Wind Down time. If your watch battery dies, it won't track your sleep data.

2. Make sure that you're wearing your Apple Watch at a comfortable fit. If your watch is too loose, the accelerometer might register too much movement during your natural sleep.

Also, check out this article to double check the steps that you might've missed after setting up Sleep on your device: Track your sleep on Apple Watch and use Sleep on iPhone

Let us know how it goes!

Best regards.
