Administrator last name change

I wish to have my MacBook Air screen show my updated last name when logging in.

This would be on my current MacBook Air - 13

You'll have to change your Apple ID name. See here - Change Name, Phone, Email preferences for your Apple ID on Mac - Apple Support

Changed User Name on Mac but… I was trying to change the User name on my Mac but I forgot to create a different admin account and use that admin account to change the name. Now when I try to click the lock button to make changes on my Mac, I can’t login. What could I do now?
