I was trying to change the User name on my Mac but I forgot to create a different admin account and use that admin account to change the name. Now when I try to click the lock button to make changes on my Mac, I can’t login. What could I do now?

We'll be glad to help out with your account. As stated in Change the name of your macOS user account and home folder, "Doing this incorrectly could damage your account and prevent you from logging in with that account. Make sure that you have a backup before continuing. These steps do not change or reset the password of your user account."
If those directions were followed, you can restore a backup of your Mac as outlined in Restore your Mac from a backup - Apple Support
If you did not create a backup, and are otherwise unable to access the account at all, you may be forced to completely erase the Mac and all data on it to regain access to the computer: Erase and reinstall macOS - Apple Support
