Is it safe to use power delivery from an external monitor with an M1 Macbook Pro?

Dell 27 4K UHD USB-C Monitor - S2722QC

I've purchased the above monitor, I was wondering if it is safe to use the 65W usb-c power delivery system that is built into this device with my 2020 M1 Macbook Pro. I am currently running macOS Monterey Version 12.5, if that is of any help. I've heard rumors about the internal components of Macbooks being destroyed due to excess heat from the power delivery reaching the logic board or another essential area of the notebook.

Yes. Refer to Charge your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro - Apple Support.

Excerpt:

"If your Mac has USB-C ports, you can charge your Mac with a USB-C charge cable and a USB-C power adapter or with a USB-C or Thunderbolt display that provides power."
