Does USB C connecting to an external monitor affect the battery life?

Hello to all,

I bought an external monitor that has USB-C connectivity, in order to connect the MacBook Air M1 with the monitor. It also charges the MacBook. My question is, if I let it connected and do my work, does the battery overcharge, due to the continuous connectivity?

I work a lot of hours (over 8 hours), so, will I have any problem with the battery?

Thank you in advance.

If we understand your post correctly, it sounds like you want to know if it’s okay to leave your external monitor connected and if it will affect the battery life. Happy to help!

Since the MacBook Pro uses an Apple lithium-ion battery, you’re welcome to charge it whenever you want.
