My computer is opening excel downloads in numbers. How do I stop this and have them open in excel?
MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.5
I am on a credit card vendor site, I choose download transactions. It opens in Numbers. I want the option to open in Excel but I do not have that option.
It is not a file already on my computer.

No difference. You need to set the files of that type to open in Excel. You can do that using one of the downloaded files or any other file with an xls or xlsx extension.

Downloads go to Numbers instead of Excel
