Pages saving multiple copies of document to iCloud storage

Unfortunately the issue is pages is saving multiple copies in the cloud without requesting this. For example, I'm on an iPad Pro running iOS 15.6.1 - I will download a document from the cloud and while I'm working on it, in the background it begins to save another copy every few moments. I literally had to look in my folder where the document was and delete all the copies in-between the initial one and the final one. However, I'm not sure if the issue stems from using the "CMD S" key stroke on the iPad at some point while working on the document or it this just happens. I went from 1 copy to 93 copies in about an hour of editing the document. Needless to say, this is a bit odd and frustrating. It would be great to figure out what's going on.

If we understand your post correctly, when you attempt to save a Pages document on your iPad Pro it saves a duplicate copy to iCloud. We’d like to help.

When saving Pages documents you can save or duplicate. This allows you to have multiple drafts. You can control this with the steps in this guide:
