How can I disable shift-scrolling?

I have a 2022 Macbook Pro, and I want to disable horizontal scrolling with shift+scroll. It makes many games reasonably unplayable. I with to be able to scroll normally, while holding shift.

how do i disable the shift + scroll on mac? i know this has been asked and answered already, but those were from like 2 years ago and the solutions don't exactly work properly anymore. and i REALLY need help with this 😞 so, i'm still pretty new to MacBooks. i just got mine yesterday and i mainly got it for gaming, as my old laptop couldn't handle it. but the only thing stopping me from a completely smooth gameplay, is this shift scroll thing.. lets use Minecraft for an example, when i use shift (to crouch) and scroll through the toolbar in-game, nothing happens. this really effects the gameplay, as its essential to be able to scroll through the bar while crouching. i've been searching like crazy to find this solution but it always leaves me at a dead end, and its honestly getting really annoying 😭 i've tried several 3rd party apps now, but absolutely nothing has helped solve this issue. some help really would be appreciated 💔 extra notes: this isn't related to the scroll, but when i use ctrl (to run in Minecraft) and click the attack button (left click), again, nothing happens. which also, again, is essential for playing. i have the Macbook pro 14" with the M2 pro chip if that helps at all if you read through all of this, i'm very sorry if some of it doesn't make sense. im not the best at explaining things. but thank you for your time 🫶

Scroll wheel with shift disables scroll wheel Hello, I like to play Minecraft on my MacBook, and in some cases I would want to use the scroll wheel of my Trust wired mouse whilst holding down shift, but this causes the scroll wheel to stop working. Can I somehow stop this from happening? Thanks for reading!

mouse and trackpad Is there a way to disable natural scrolling on the mouse while leaving it on for the trackpad? I have a MacBook Air m2, I use both a mouse and the trackpad, switching back and forth between the two. I use natural scrolling for the trackpad and turn it off when using the mouse.

Never used it but BetterMouse supposedly allows you to disable horizontal scrolling. They have a free trial.
