COMPRESSING FILES

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO COMPRESS A PDF FILE WITH A MACBOOK NOT USING ADOBE ACROBAT???

Compressed Files on Mac are larger than the original! I am trying to compress some files on my MacBook Air (2017), and when I "compress" the files, they are ending up larger! For example, the original file was 19.6MB and the zip file is 20.1MB. I'm confused and unsure why this is happening, but I need the files to be zipped to post them onto my Etsy page; the limit is 20MB files!

Reducing .pdf file size I am trying to reduce a .pdf from 30 to 10mb. I reduced it to one page (from five) -- size doubled. I tried the Quartz file reduction -- no effect whatsoever. I cannot even figure out how to use the ColorSync app. Really, Apple, do you have to make this so fricking hard?! I am using Preview on a MacBookPro, o/s Monterey.

Archive Utility I'm trying to unzip a file and there is no 'Archive Utility' on my Mac. How to I get it please? Make it simple and easy please!! :) I'm running macOS Big Sur 11.7.9 on my MacBook Air.
