Thank you. The exact printer model is not listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support, but the following HP articles indicate AirPrint-compatibility (maybe an early version):

AirPrint means that additional drivers should not be needed, if the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).
If there is a problem with AirPrint discovery for one or more devices, one could try the following full procedure (in this order):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac computer, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac computer. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Printing has nothing to do with who you buy your internet signal from, it's strictly a local thing if you're using Wi-Fi or a USB cable. In fact, you don't need an internet signal at all to be able to print.
How exactly are you attaching the printer? USB cable? Wi-Fi? Bluetooth maybe? Have you gotten the latest software and drivers from the maker's website?
Hi,
Please post back with the exact HP printer model.
I guess that your Internet service provider provided you with a new Wi-Fi router. Any information about the router model (please do NOT post any serial numbers or access codes)? Is the HP printer wirelessly connected to this router?
I put my new network password into my printer, it says connected. It is WiFi...I did download new drivers, and the printer still does not show up in the list, and I cannot add it either.
The printer is HP Photosmart 5512. It says connected to wifi.
yes it is wirelessly connected to the router..
The router model is eero if that helps
Thank you so much! I appreciate your time, and will use your step by step instructions.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Have a great day!!!
Good luck! Even if a printer is not using AirPrint, a similar power-cycle sequence may help in some cases. Do not hesitate to post back if it does not work.
Thank you!!
