Removing obsolete or incorrect addresses from Calendar (autofill)

I inadvertently typed in an incorrect email address into a Mac Calendar entry and now every time I attempt to enter the correct email address Calendar autofills the invitee name with the errant email address.

I've attempted to "remove all recent locations and attendees" from the Calendar>Preferences>Advanced settings, to no avail.

Anyone solve this problem? (macOS Monterey, 12.5.1)

Hi Okinsm,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. Does this happen when you enter the name or just when you enter the email address? Try both as mentioned in Invite people to events in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support to see if this is isolated to one or the other.

Next, check to see if this incorrect information is stored in your Safari autofill settings by going to Safari > Preferences > Autofill. Change AutoFill preferences in Safari on Mac - Apple Support has further details.

It might also be a good idea to see if the incorrect email is in your Contacts app. If so, remove it using the steps below from Delete contacts in Contacts on Mac - Apple Support and then test.

1. In the Contacts app on your Mac, select one or more contacts.
2. Press the Delete key.
3. If you select contacts who belong to a group, click Delete in the message that appears.

Take care.
