Apple TV app is corrupted

The PBS App on my Apple TV has apparently become corrupted. It appears to start up when selected but dumps out back to the selection screen after about 3 seconds. I would like to reload the app from the App store but there seems to be no way to delete the app from the selection screen.

Apple TV app disappeared from my Sony Google TV The app would not reload. It took me hours to resolve. I ended up going to the app in settings and uninstalling an upgrade. Then I went to the App section at the top of the screen and clicked on the Apple TV App. It gave me the option to install update. I did. I was then able to successfully download the app and log on through my computer. That was about three or so days ago. It just happened again. I could not download the app. Had to uninstall update, go to apps at top of page and was able to download after I reinstalled the update. I am not going to do this every time I want to watch the ding-dang thing. Only new thing is we got a new tv. The Apple TV app is on there, but we have never opened the app on that tv. Anybody else experiencing this? Thanks!

Apple TV: Prime Video Ap won't open Hi, went away for holidays and now I've returned to the Prime Video App not opening on my Apple TV. I cannot uninstall the App. I cannot download it again. I've rebooted my Apple TV and it still won't work. What else can I do? None of these Companies seem to have accessible Customer Service to actually help with these issues. (though I love them both... LOL) Does anyone here have a fix?

Resetting Apple TV app i was unable to view new shows but could see the promotional videos only, so I reset the app, now can’t get anything, only spinning circle

What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

It is a bit different for 3rd generation or earlier versus 4th generation or later.
