Battery life remaining on my AirTag

My AirTag is updated to the most recent version but it just gives me this version information where battery icon is supposedly located (after NOW on iPhone or in information box on my Mac). How do I determine how much battery life is remaining on my AirTag? I do have one of the original AirTags. Are there various updated versions of AirTag or is it my Iphone11pro does not show this?
