Mac book air Max battery capacity
I have m1 mac book air, only has 13 charging cycles itself . but showing a battery capacity as 98%. Is there any error with the calibration.
P.S- Latest software updates were done.

Hi,
In addition to cycles, age is also a factor. Given that that battery could be over a year and a half old, it's reasonable that its capacity is 98% even though it has only 13 cycles on it.
Modern lithium batteries don't need calibration, if that's what you're asking.
Bottom line, there's nothing wrong and you can just keep using it as you have been.
I think it's ok; if it was my MBA I wouldn't be worried about it. Apple won't consider a battery to have a warranty issue if it's over 80% capacity, so if things progress as they have been, you won't be anywhere near 80% by the time you get to the one year warranty expiration.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, I bought my mac on Feb 2022. Is it okay to have this kind of capacity though i am using this as my spare notebook, just for watching a movie and spotify.
