In 10 months, macbook air M1 max battery capacity dropped to 89% after 53 cycles. Is it normal?
Apple support suggested turned off optimised battery charging feature and charge it 100%, then enable it again. Anyone tried this?

Not sure what would be considered 'normal' by cycle counts. For comparison my M2 MBA is seven months old with a cycle count of 35 and capacity still at 100%. I also use it almost everyday. All I do is follow Apple's recommended health management and leave it plugged in to the mains most of the time, occasionally removing it from the mains to 'exercise' the battery down to single digits then fully recharge it again. I've done the same with my 2015 MBP without any noticeable ill effect. That said they do age and wear over time just like any another battery. Is that best practice? I don't know but I'm satisfied with the results.

I'm assuming what they are suggesting by turning optimization off and on again is they want you to fully 'exercise' the battery. The way I understand it is what they are asking you to do is more or less what I'm doing already, only manually.
I also use it every day. I use it for office work and using it plugged in. I dont do things that will overheat cpu and gpu like gaming, video editing.
