No colour matching options in print dialog box: Monterey and Canon TS8350

It seems, after long investigation and conversations with both Apple and Canon, that Apple no longer supports any form of colour management in Canon's lower end printers. I can no longer colour manage my Canon TS3850 printer, which up until recently did a good job of producing A4 test prints and proofs from Photoshop. Instead I am stuck with the default Airprint driver (no colour management option available in the print dialog box) or the Apple-supplied Canon driver which does not have colour management options included in the print dialog box either.

This means that unless i am printing a text document (which is not often) the printer is basically worthless to me now. Can anyone at Apple explain the decision not to support colour management on non-pro level Canon desktop printers please???
