Try unplugging the the display power from wall, wait 3 minutes and plug back in.

Studio Display Speakers cutting out So my mac studio speakers are cutting out after about 4-5 seconds. I go to sounds in settings and switch back and forth between the Mac Studio internal speaker which works fine and the Studio Display speakers which cut out with a couple of clicking noises. This seems like a mechanical defect, so I guess I'll have to got to the Apple Store to see what they say. I've rebooted, changed the USB-C port, turned the computer off and restarted. Studio Displays stop playing sound after 2-5 seconds I have a Mac Pro (2019) with two Studio Displays. I bought the two Studio Displays as soon as they became available and they have worked well until now. Without warning, the sound began cutting out after 2-5 seconds. If I switch to the speaker on the second Studio Display, the same thing happens. However, when I use the native speaker in the Mac Pro instead of the Studio Display speakers, the sound is played properly. I updated my OS to macOS Monterey 12.5 after this problem arose, but the update had no effect on the sound problem. I also tried disconnecting the two Studio Displays from the Mac Pro and waiting for about 40 minutes, as has been recommended elsewhere in this forum. When I reconnected them the problem was still there. My firmware for the two Studio Displays is 15.5, Build 19F77. This was the version before I updated the OS and apparently the OS update had no effect on the firmware since I have the same version now, post update. Any help to rectify this problem will be much appreciated. Philip

Mac Studio speakers dead I have a Mac Studio and a Studio Monitor Display. Sound in the Display cuts out after two seconds; same with the Mac Studio's internal speaker. Sound works fine with an external LG monitor with its own speakers. I have unplugged the Mac Studio twice for an hour. The problem has not gone away. It worked fine the first several months I had it. Is it a problem in one of the upgrades? Is there a fix? One reason I got the Studio Monitor Display was its speaker system seemed good enough so I didn't need the clutter of desktop speakers. But now I've got bupkus.
